6 Reasons Why Now is the Best Time for Natural Fertility

Infertility is lonely and stressful, with many women feeling unnecessary shame, and choosing to suffer silently. Simultaneously, friends or family members are getting pregnant and having babies without any issues, adding to the shame and guilt.
Enter Covid-19 into the picture, and within weeks stress levels are worse, and any chances of Assisted Reproductive Therapies (ARTs) are out the door. The dream of having a 2020 baby is gone, and you are heart-broken. I want you to know that I feel your pain. I understand how, as time passes, your fear of never having a child increases.
I’m here to tell you that this is your chance to take your fertility into your hands, more than ever before! With most of us at home, not working, we have been given the gift of time and the opportunity to reassess our lives and how we have been living it. Many of us have come to the important realization that conventional medicine doesn’t always have the answer, that we are responsible for our own health and wellbeing, and that “health care” is all about prevention while conventional medicine’s main focus is “disease care”.
Invasive and costly fertility treatments such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) can be avoided or it’s chances of success increased if a natural fertility protocol is followed. For some it might be very simple tweaks to diet and lifestyle, for others it might be more comprehensive with specific supplements and detoxification with the guidance of a functional medicine or naturopathic practitioner. But overall, your health is primarily dictated by what you eat.

So why is now the best time to tackle your fertility naturally? Here are my top 6 reasons:

No other option

As I mentioned above, most clinics are not performing any ARTs, and doctor visits, in general, are limited to the absolutely necessary. So you have nothing to lose but only gain, by following a natural approach to your fertility.

The Gift of Time

In more ways than one, we have more time. Time to consider and follow a natural approach now that ARTs is not an option, and time to read, research, think and even better journal.

Less Stress…maybe?

Although the coronavirus has brought about its own stresses and worries, for some people other stressors have been reduced. It will depend on your circumstances, but it might be not having to go to work every day, or less social pressures, or not having to think about doing another round of IVF, or simply the pandemic distracting you from thinking about getting pregnant. Stress is one of the major factors affecting overall health and therefore your fertility as well.

Cooking at Home

Restaurants are closed, no more parties or social gatherings, and hopefully, you are cooking your own food at home. This is the chance to enjoy wholesome home-cooked meals without any outside influences ruining your efforts. For more inspiration, I share many fertility boosting recipes in my Fertility Boosting Meal Plan Ebook.

Immunity

Boosting your immunity is more important than ever. And as you might have realized it’s something we need to do all year long, not just when we are facing a worldwide pandemic. But guess what? All the foods you need to avoid and the foods you need to eat more of for your immunity, are amazing for your fertility too. In my ebook I explain all the foods to avoid and the foods that heal if you are trying to get pregnant.

No Air Travel

If you are a frequent flyer, for business or pleasure, the suspension of air travel may increase your chances of getting pregnant. Although not enough studies have been conducted to establish a link, frequent flying increases your exposure to radiation and disruption to your sleep due to jet lag, both linked to reduced conception rates.
In my new ebook, Fertility Boosting Meal Plan, you will be introduced to the world of natural fertility and its possibilities. I also share:
  • My personal battle with infertility
  • What foods to avoid
  • Foods that heal and why
  • An easy to follow meal-plan
  • Nutrient-rich and delicious recipes
If you feel you need more help I highly recommend you consider Iva Keen’s program, Natural Fertility Prescription, which is what I followed to get pregnant with Noura. This is Iva pictured with Noura below.

I wish with all my heart that no woman ever has to struggle with infertility, please let’s help each other do that by sharing this post.
